Color Club - Burnt Out

 This is 3 coats. These aren't even the best pictures of this polish. This was in the early evening on a sunny day. This polish truly shines on the shittiest, cloudiest, rainiest day.

Okay, I have to add these. I took these pics the other day. There is chipping, there is cuticle jank. These are not nice nails we are looking at, but this polish looked AMAZING on a terribly ugly day.

Note to self, nails look better squared than hastily rounded.

Nail Pattern Boldness - Glitter Food

I am not reviewing a colour. I am not reviewing a topcoat. I am reviewing the middle man, or lady as it were.  Glitter Food is a multitasker (hence it is also known as fix a flat).  Allison is a fabulous chick who makes fabulous stuff.

First off, this is a bottle of clear polish. The puddle in the bottom is actually spectraflair.

Add a little bit of Glitter Food/Fix a Flat et voila! Rainbow topcoat.

So today on the Nail Pattern Boldness Facebook page I saw Allison post a link to a Glitter Food review post (much better than mine, go look) which inspired me to do one of my own!

I decided I would try to conquer one of the nail world's most beautiful pain in the ass polishes .. the mylar glitter.

This is OPI Ink + Color Club Covered in Diamonds (I love you, but I het chu CiD) + Glitter Food + SV

These pictures alternate between no Glitter Food and with Glitter Food.

A Few From Syn Cosmetics

Bitter Glitter over Pretty Serious Gargoyle Ganache.  This one wasn't my favourite.  I thought I would like it more.  I need to try it over some pastels methinks.

Color Club Factory Girl 3 coats

2 coats of I'm Glowing Home which is kind of like a mashup between Connect the Dots and Ninja Vs. Pirate. I didn't put topcoat on this one.

This was the best picture I got of it glowing in the dark. My nails look totally wonky, but they didn't in the other pics I took.  Sadly yes, this is the BEST picture I got.  Must reswatch.

btw it glows BLUE. Love.

I quite liked these polishes.  As with any chunky glitter they required a bit of manipulation and dabbing, but I didn't find them difficult to apply at all.  Bitter Glitter was a bit low, I would have preferred it be totally full obviously, but it didn't bother me enough to mention it or as for a replacement.  On that note, the customer service was great.  It had been a while and I hadn't gotten my order so I emailed and was taken care of.  They emailed back a while after to make sure I got them as well.  I will be trying this brand again!

Color Club Take Wing

Standard opening apologies: I am sorry for some dark spots under a couple of my nails.  It is not dirt.  It is black polish that no matter how hard I acetoned, would not be gobbled up by acetone :(  On the bright side it is a measure of opacity? *waggles eyebrows* Eh? No? Okay :\

Sorry for ugly stained cuticles, any dryness, any snaggly bits, any hairs etc.

Fly With Me and Daisy Does It look pretty much the same over black.  Half of this collection is glass fleck and half of it is shimmer.  All are amazingly gorgeous.  Glass fleck sucks a little bit for cleanup as you can see by all the sparkle frags on my fingers.  That being said, I am sure it would come off in the shower, and several other (less inept?) bloggers have managed to swatch them sans sparklefragz.

A couple are opaque enough that you can not see any visible difference in them whether alone or over black or white.  I think I should swatch like this more often.  Very useful.. *strokes air beard*

OPI - Tease-y Does It + Color Club - Wild and Willing

Why did I wait so long to buy this polish? It is gorgeous! Application was good. I used 3 coats but I could have used 2.
