OPI DS Royal

I had been given a decant of this lovely polish a while ago, but I had foolishly never tried it on for fear of using up my precious decant. For Christmas, my lovely bff gave me a half full bottle of Royal, to which I added my decant and woohoo! The polish level is now a good mm above the O.P.I. line.

This is 3 coats indoor lighting. Such a gorgeous pink flash

This is in indirect cloudy outdoor lighting. Strong blue flash rawr!

Have you picked out your New Years mani yet? I am still debating.. I want to do something ridiculously glittery which I will surely regret when it comes time to remove it. *ponders*

OPI DS Sapphire vs OPI Blue Moon Lagoon

This question has come up a few times now. Sapphire on the left and Blue Moon Lagoon on the right.

This first shot is in the shade to try and illustrate the pink sheen that DS Sapphire has.

They are very similar in many ways. They are both blueish, the are both quite sheer, but neither of them are good for layering over anything as far as I'm concerned. They are sheer but in my experience they cover up whatever you layer them over quite a bit. Blue Moon Lagoon is obviously a bit more green leaning.

3 coats with 1 coat of CND Super Shiny topcoat. Applied like buttah! Loves it!
