Color Club - Burnt Out

 This is 3 coats. These aren't even the best pictures of this polish. This was in the early evening on a sunny day. This polish truly shines on the shittiest, cloudiest, rainiest day.

Okay, I have to add these. I took these pics the other day. There is chipping, there is cuticle jank. These are not nice nails we are looking at, but this polish looked AMAZING on a terribly ugly day.

Note to self, nails look better squared than hastily rounded.

Sephora Formula X - Ombre Glitters - Mischievous

Halloween is around the corner. Might as well resurrect myself. I received Formula X Mischievous in the mail today. Is pretty. In traditional Spit & Polish style, here are like 10 pictures of 1 thing. I was just randomly strolling through my house taking these. It looks a bit assy in overcast outdoor lighting. Inside is very cool though. I did 3 coats and 1 coat of Seche Vite. I think I should have put a coat of Glitter Food or something similar before the SV though because it was a bit chunky and I prefer something a bit more glassy.

This polish wants to be pink, it wants to be green, it wants to be everything. It is very shifty. Mama like.

I Love Nail Polish - Nostalgia and some Christmas Trees because I am fancy like that

I Love Nail Polish Nostalgia is an amazing multichrome. It shifts from a really bright green to a really pretty rusty pinky red, and gold in between.

This is 2 coats of ILNP Nostalgia with 1 coat of Here Today Aragon Tomorrow Suede for the trees. I used Ulta3 Blue Marlin, Sally Hansen InstaDri Lightning and Berry Swift for the decorations. They look really crap up close, but from an arms length away I am quite the fancy fance. I like using suedes and mattes for nail art like this. They dry so fast, and the difference in texture makes things really pop.

CrowsToes - Celaeno and Taygete in the sun!

Okay so I already swatched these. I swatched the heck out of them, but not in outdoor lighting because really there was none. A perpetual cloud hangeth over Vancouver. Sun... I am disappoint.

So today there was a wee smidgen of sun! I got 3 CrowsToes Pleiades swatched, and only 2 of them looked decent when I uploaded. Way to fail at taking pictures self.

Both are 2 coats on all but ring which is 1 coat over black.

CrowsToes - The Pleiades Collection

Holy crap! Imagine my happiness when these babies landed on my doorstep!  I have photographed this collection in 1 coat over black and 2 coats on their own.  The formula was good.  They are opaque in 2 coats.  The dry time is good.  They have a particulate bling to them which is quite nice and sparkly.  Best of all? Not fucking frosty!

I have apparently taken over 70 pictures.. oops!  The lighting varies between 3 sources, but all are just plain indoor lightbulbs.  No topcoat on any swatch.  I literally spent essentially the entire day swatching and photographing this collection so thanks for looking!
