Pure Luxe - Kaleidoscopes

Okay so the other day I ordered 5 of the Pure Luxe Kaleidoscope loose shadows. I had to order the remaining 2. They got here the other day and now I am going to swatch for you!

I apologize that some of these are lacking :|

All are swatched dry over Fyrinna Pixie Epoxy. It was very hard to capture some of the colour change this way. I wonder if I should have foiled them :|

Okay so firstly I must complain. If I am spending 8 bucks a pop plus too much for shipping (I saw the $1.85 sticker on the package lady) I would like to know what they are called.

Oooh it's called Oa! What a nice name :)

This one is tolerable.

So enough with the hate and on to the love!

I just want to say that these were all very multichromatic and it was really hard to capture that in some of them. That is why some have 4 pictures and some have 1 :|

Illusion = Pinky greeny silvery

Prismatic was a bish. Silvery greeny. I know it is supposed to flash purple but it didn't really happen for me swatched dry.

Mmm Faceted! Maybe my favourite? Goldy coppery pinky reddy!

Luster isn't described on the site. It is similar to Faceted but with the addition of a greeny. I do love this one! Maybe equally to Faceted ;)

Oasis is hard to capture :| Site says blue green beige. I did not find the beige. I couldn't capture the blue/green very well but it is there!

Mmmm Mirage is gorgeous too! Purpley bluey aqua..ey? Ha ha ha I love it.

Lastly I have Visions. Unsure what I was doing with the font there.. Anyways this one is fab. Red to gold to copper and back. I love this whole line.

The texture on these was great. The blend well. I have not had good experiences with blending when foiling so I tend not to foil much. I am sure these would show more of their colours in picture if I had done so. Thanks for looking!

I love this polish. Can I say more? Formula is average for a holo? On to pretty peekchures?

China Glaze Spin Me Round

My cleanup on this one leaves a little bit to be desired. If you are not looking at it with macro eyes though, it is hard to tell ;o) This is one of those polishes that the heavens have smiled down upon. The colour is such that it needs relatively 0 cleanup and holo = dries fast and well.. holo!!

China Glaze Kaleidoscope Him Out

Gorgeous! Do love! I love the big particulate holobits in the Kaleidoscope range. 2 coats no top coat. Same application as the others, a bit pully. Fairly sheer. I think that all of the Kaleidoscopes could be conserved with 1 coat over a similar colour.

I have ugly nubs right now. I busted the corner off of one of my nails the other day and I had to file them ALL down. I cannot handle just having one Gumby nail, or having uneven nails in general. I think I might take a break from holo week(s) today to swatch and post the OPI Nice Stems collection which I received yesterday. Not a nice enough day for holo swatching, but certainly nice enough for some pretty pinks!

China Glaze Don't Be A Square

I love dusties. Remind me next pay day to go back down to this dusty and see what's left of their kaleidoscopes! Most of them are used but.. I don't care!

This one is gorgeous. I was a bit suspicious of it on the way home from the dusty. It was a cloudy day and it looked like it might have been frankened with. I think that's just the way the kaleidoscopes look in the bottle in ugly lighting. They can be confusingly particulate until you get them into the sun ;o)

This is such a gorgeous medium almost dusty pink scattered holo. I never thought I could love a pink back in the day. Now I am starting to warm up ;o) I love this pink! And many other pinks ;o)

The formula is a bit sheer but not too bad.

China Glaze He's Going In Circles

I love this polish. It was my very first holo! A very sweet lady sent me a second bottle which happened to be white label (I already had black). Originally I thought that the difference between white and black labels was the ingredients (one being B3F one not) but someone brought to my attention that they have the exact same ingredients! That being said, they do not have the same application.

This is another example of a scattered holo. Often I find the term scattered holo is just someone nicely saying crappy holo, in this case the holo is gorgeous and scattered.

This is 2 coats of each, no topcoat.

Black label is much more opaque. White label is much more sheer, which has it's benefits!

It layers fairly nicely without entirely overpowering the underwear.

Here is black label 2 coats no topcoat all alone.

I love this polish. It's green but.. not green? The kaleidoscopes are fabulous! I plan to post the other 4 I own over the next few days or so. Which brings me to my holo week extension announcement. I just don't have enough time to post more pictures in 1 day so I think I will have to extend it. I still have like.. 17 or so more holos to post! I guess that isn't a bad thing though ;o)
