Essie Sable Collar and Winmax #6

This baby was a gift from my lovely bff. Much love lady! I was drawn to its Peel me a Gobi Grape vibe.

This is 2 coats. Application was smooth and fabulous.

I then added 2 coats of Winmax #6 which is a wicked cheap shimmer sold at Daiso for $2.

I had a hard time capturing the shimmery goodness.

Okay this one is blurry as fack, but it shows the shimmer a bit better.

I don't know if I like this

I decided to get lazy creative with my pre-existing GoldenEye mani.  I wanted to do some kind of ruffian.  I was originally going to do it with Milani Dressmaker, but I chose Gargantuan Green Grape matte instead because Dressmaker is a cruel whore to apply.  I think it would have looked better with Dressmaker, but now I want to redo it with For Audrey or Aquadelic because I think that would look even more keen.  Ooh maybe I will do it with ILF... *strokes air beard*  Anyway!  Next time I will be more careful in my application of GoldenEye.  Foils like that suck to clean up, especially when they are dry.  Next time, I wait not for it to dry.

Okay so both of these were spur of the moment.  Neither were cleaned up so whatever.

Rainbow Honey - The Worst Possible Thing over China Glaze Aquadelic

BTW I used Nail Pattern Boldness Glitter Food over top of TWPT and yeah.. glassiest smoothest awesomeness ever.  Must have 80 bajillion more bottles.

It's like pink, teal, tiny holo, bigger holo, flakies and pink shimmer.. it really pops best over black but shiz.  This is a bottle of fabulous for srs over anything.

Up next is Picture Polish Mirage.  I have one complaint about the label.  I will leave it up to your cunning vision to establish what it is that I found irritating.  1 coat over the following:

Pointer - Revlon Top Speed Pink Lingerie.. I think?

Middle - Essie Buy me a Cameo

Ring - China Glaze Aquadelic

Pinky - Essie Blue Rhapsody

This polish is a bit too opaque for layering.  I thinned it just a tiny bit.  I like how it looks though!  I quite like it over pink.  It shifts from greeny tealish kinda to a pink.  A tiny bit brushstrokey when layered, I haven't tried it on its lonesome yet though.  I don't know that it was meant for layering.  I still love it.  I am intrigued to try it alone.  I imagine I would be pleased with the formula when not layering it.

Essie - Ruby Slippers

Essie Ruby Slippers is a gorgeous dense red glitter in a red jelly base. This is 2 coats.. or 3? I don't remember. I do remember it only really needing 2 coats.

I currently do not have China Glaze Ruby Pumps but now I want it. I want to do a comp between this, that and Sally Hansen Red Carpet. *ponders*

China Glaze - Out On Safari

I happened upon this gem a while ago. Well I happened upon several of the actually. Once I got it on the nail I was super pleased to have a backup or 4..

Out On Safari is a khaki brown colour with lots of green shimmer. It is quite sheer on the first coat, but builds up nicely. Gotta love that old formula!

When I originally posted swatches on the board someone mentioned that OOS looked a lot like Essie Sew Psyched. Here are some comps.

As you can see, They are quite different although in the same colour family. Also, the shimmer in Sew Psyched is silver and far less abundant.

Essie - Like Me

I won something! I won a bottle of the 'exclusive' Essie shade, Like Me. It is a facebook exclusive that I won from the Essie Canada facebook page. The only issue is that it is not a new shade. It is an existing shade called Geranium. Actually this isn't really an issue for me. The polish was free and it is gorgeous.

I just wish they would have put for a TINY bit of effort in picking off the Geranium sticker before they put on the Like Me sticker.

This is 3 coats with no top coat. I could have gotten away with 1 coat. This polish is so opaque it's amazing. The colour saturation is just fantastic. Formula was a bit on the thin side, but that was not an issue as it covered perfectly in 1 coat.

Here it is with 1 coat of China Glaze Sweet Revenge. Sweet Revenge is an old formula polish. It is stinky and sheer and I love it.

There was 0 sun this weekend *shakes fist* so I couldn't swatch any more holos. I do plan to bust some more out once I get a bit more sunshine! In the meantime I will be posting randoms ;o)
