HTF Green Comp - Greenwich Green vs. Cat's Eye vs. At Your Quebec And Call

So stoked that Moxie sent me OPI At Your Quebec And Call last week!! She is the doll of dolls.  I was so stoked to comp it against OPI Greenwich Green and China Glaze Cat's Eye!

Pointer - China Glaze Cat's Eye 3 coats
Middle - OPI Greenwich Green 2 coats
Ring - OPI At Your Quebec And Call 3 coats

In the shade

These are very similar colours.  Cat's Eye is more golden.  Greenwich Green is just barely frosty.  At Your Quebec And Call has a slightly blackened base.  All are beautiful!  I should have thrown Butter London Wallace in there.  I think he would have been the next natural step down from AYQAC.

Revlon - Mistletoe

I noticed that there were some new Revlons out. I also noticed that they were on sale for $3.99 which is the absolute most I can make myself pay for a Revlon polish. Not that they aren't good polishes. I just cannot pay more than 4 dollars for them.

This was 2 coats + SV. It could have been done in 1 careful coat. This polish was a bit thick to work with. Went on fairly easy though. No complaints really.

Sorry for the blur. I was trying desperately to get some pictures taken in between doing my eye makeup and getting dressed. This lack of light is killing me. I either have to do all my swatching on the weekend.. or try and squeeze it in between things in my already time crunched morning. I really need to get a light. Pin It

OPI - Greenwich Green vs China Glaze - Cat's Eye

These are two of my spoils from my epic weekend in Edmonton with Moxie

Cat's Eye!

Pinky and middle are Greenwich Green

So the formula on these is fairly similar. Cat's Eye is a bit more sheer, but it builds up to be deeper and more golden. Otherwise, fairly dupey! This is 2 coats Greenwich Green and 3 coats Cat's Eye. I should have done 3 coats GG. Thx for looking! Pin It

Monday Randoms

I am getting excited about my impending first flight! I am flying to Edmonton to visit miss moxie :D

Random green icing avec Kleancolor Starry Meteor

This I cannot WAIT to thin and swatch. I need thinner though :\

Lemon fizz is so full of awesome. As is Whitecap!

It looks a little tip heavy.. which it sort of was because I put it on too fast and thick.. but it did not look that harsh sans macro.

Clearly my application.. was not awesome. Also these pics are not showing how awesome and glittery and fabulous Whitecap is. One of my favourite layering polishes! LOVE!

And now I want some wine gums..

Glitter Gal - Light As A Feather, Frappe & Lizard Belly

A very sweet lady sent these to me. She is having a giveaway right now. You should pop on over! They had to travel quite a way to get to Canada. (apologies for my borked pinky cuticle)

Please click on these pictures for a better idea of what they look like!

Light as a Feather. I tried swatching this one without a base and I didn't like the application. I tried it over a white creme and also did not like. This is 2 coats over top of Barielle Hydrading Ridge Filler. If you have it, you know it dries to a slightly milky finish. Perfect combo.

This isn't a punch in the face holo. Judging from what people had said about trying to franken the mystical white holo with the spectraflair pigment, it is hard to keep it white as the pigment is silver/grey. It is still a holo. It is gorgeous and subtle and I love it.

MOAR!

Sorry for the blurry shot. Illustrates the holo though!

Next up is Frappe. This one is quite sheer. It is a lovely light purpley pink. The holo is much stronger in this one. This is 2 coats no base no top.

Last but not least is Lizzard Belly. Lizzard Belleh. Now I have Outkast stuck in my head. (Lick you like a lizzard when I'm slizzard.)

This is 2 coats no base no top. I will let you know when I remove it if it stains or not. I hope it doesn't.. I just realized now that I put a highly opaque forest green on my nails with no base coat. ANYHOO! This puppy is pretty thick. Very opaque. This is 2 coats but I could have gotten away with 1 if I was more careful. So dark it is almost black, but it is certainly green.

Here is a bottle shot beside Nubar Reclaim

As I was outside taking pictures I noticed that what I thought were white roses are actually green?

also blurry :S

Chanel - Peridot

Aloha! I was drawn into the Peridot vacuum yesterday. Truly this polish is stunning. Not sure if it is $30 dollars stunning.. But stunning!

This was my first time applying it. My pinky suffered a bulbous tip. Accent nail is W&W Black Creme (1 coat.. amazing! LOVE!) with this little decal that I got from a kiosk in the mall. You peel off the backing, stick it on and rub rub rub and then peel of the other backing because it is double sided sticky. Then topcoat.

I made a fatal error in not rubbing enough and I think that it needs SV on top because I peeled it off a few hours later. It's "3D" so even when fully rubbed down to hug the nail it has a bit of texture. Next time = 1 coat non quick dry topcoat and then 1 coat SV.

I also got these little gems!

This one I am wearing (dig the Engrish at the bottom! Just-stick them onto your fingers and toe.nails.)

Same dealy but in silver

These ones are not double sided. You just stick like a sticker and then apply topcoat.

These are actually really pretty. White with little silver gems!

This long strippy one that the guy totally recommended. I didn't want to hurt his feelings. I think it would look cute on a diagonal! (those two baby gates are designed to keep 7hund in the tiny strip of pavement I call my deck.. which is actually just the walkway along the side of the house to get into the back yard. I have pimped it out though! Lots of roses and herbs!)

Engrish!
