Holo week begins! Nfu-oh 61

I think I am blowing my load all at once here. Nfu-oh 61 is certainly the most amazing holo in my possession as far as the 'flame' goes. When I say holo flame I mean that arc of rainbow that can be seen in a linear holo polish. It looks like a rainbow flame! That is the flame. Nfu-oh 61 packs a lot of flame!

This is 2 coats with 1 coat of OPI DS topcoat.

This polish is not forgiving. It is difficult to apply. It highlights all of the ridges in my nails and it gets wicked cuticle drag. I do not have the aqua base, but I experimented with the base coats I did have. Lots of people recommend using a matte topcoat as a base underneath a holo. I will tell you now that CND Sticky worked the best for me. Only on the first coat though, at the second coat it was patchy like fack. My suggestion = 1 coat Sticky + 1 coat Nfu-oh 61 + 1 coat Sticky + 1 coat Nfu-oh 61 + OPI DS topcoat. Next time I apply it, I will be doing just that. On the topic of topcoats, which are a hot topic on the boards in regards to whether or not they can dull your holo, my next post is going to investigate this phenomenon.

I apologize for the state of my cuticles in those pictures. It was literally the last of apx 25+ polishes I had swatched this weekend. Pin It
