Make Up Store Flakies - Lava, Linnea & Sophie

I apologize because these are not being sold anymore. If you can snag them, do!

Lava, 1 coat over OPI Sapphire in the Snow (essentially my favourite for layering creme). No top coat.

The flakes in this are mostly orange-pink. I apologize for the qozn on my finger there. I had just swatched a gold foil (comp to come) and it didn't wanna leave me

Linnea, 1 coat alternating over Revlon Grass (I love this frigging polish) and OPI Jade is the New Black. No top coat. This one has the green-orangey pink situation going on.

Lastly here is Sophie. I had a tough time figuring out what to layer it over. The base is strangely coloured. I tried to match each one up approximately to their base colours. This base colour is kind of Golden? The problem is the flakies move from green to teal to blue.. so it looks kinda strange over brown. I tried it over a gold foil, but flakies it did not play nice. You could not spot the flakies very easily. I think this one needs to be layered over black, or perhaps the base colour is faint enough that it could be layered over top of a navy or something which would compliment or nicely contrast against the flakes.

Here is 1 layer, no topcoat, over top of China glaze Midtown Magic and Wagon Trail (Hard to tell them apart once they got Sophie on top of them. I don't even remember which is which).

I suppose I should go to work now. Thankfully it is Thursadayfriday! Thanks veterans! Pin It

  2. These are so beautiful. I still love seeing swatches of amazing polishes like these, even if they are discontinued.

  3. I wish I had kept Lava and Sophie. I guess it is easy to believe the polishes that are ETF always shall remain ETF. I still have Linnea though, which is good.

  6. Lava has got to be my favorite. It's like that Kleancolor you posted recently, except in cooler flake form!
