Witty quips and snarky remarks, the random ramblings of a girl with a penchant for polish.

Glimmer by Erica Update
Here is a Glimmer by Erica update from Miss Moxie the Pied Polish Piper
I love happy endings :)
Heya folks, happy Tuesday evening to you all!
I just wanted to take a quick minute to follow up on a guest blog post I did for Spit & Polish this past November. In my review of the Glimmer by Erica polishes, I shared my thoughts/feelings on her shipping rates to Canada and how I felt the shipping was a bit steep considering the usual cost for shipping polishes to Canada from the USA is definitely cheaper than what I had paid.
Well, this past Sunday, the lovely Erica reached out to me via email to apologize and rectify the problem immediately. She was very kind and understanding in her email to me, which I appreciated. She also said she appreciated my honesty, so that was nice to hear! I felt like she went above and beyond to correct the issue, so to say I was impressed would be a huge understatement. Erica also informed me that she has adjusted her shipping rates to Canada on her etsy store accordingly, so this is FAB news for all of my Canadian polish lovers who want to get their hands on some of these beauties.
In emailing with Erica on Sunday, I really got the sense that she genuinely cares that all of her customers and wants them to be 100% happy. Her dedication to customer service and satisfaction is amazing and I truly appreciated everything she did. I certainly feel encouraged to make future purchases from her store! Anyway, I wanted to share my experience of excellent customer service from Erica with you guys!
You can purchase Glimmer by Erica polishes here! Happy polish hunting!

Scherer Chameleon and a Pretty Ring for a Good Cause
Okay so before I post pictures of the Chameleons, do you remember that ring I was talking about during the great depression rant of yesterday? It came in the mail today! Here is the down low, the ring is huge. It is one size fits all, but I have to put it on my fattest finger (index = 9.5) in order for it not to be too loose. It also takes up almost the entire space between knuckles. that being said, gorgeous! Pics!
These pictures were all taken within a span of like 3 minutes. This ring shifts beautifully. I would almost say it is a multichrome ;)
Okay so enough of the gorgeous ring which is currently a beautiful teal. The faceting almost makes it look like you are looking into a pristine ocean when it is this colour *stares*
Here are 3 Scherer Chameleon polishes gifted to me by my lovely buddy pal Theo who warned me that they were a bish to work with and frosty.. who wants a frosty duochrome? Absolutely no one that's who. These weren't so bad though.. well of the 3 one was fairly awful :\ And here it is!
2 coats Blue Frost (yes..) no topcoat so you can see all the frosty goodness. You can also probably see the bubbling and crappy application.
The colour shift in this one is hardly noticiable. Do not love.
Onward and upwards! Here is Calypso 2 coats no topcoat, less frosty.
I would say that this one was the star of the bunch, hence 6 bajillion pictures. I did put topcoat on this one, still 2 coats. Apologies for all the wrestler grease, I was just about to wrestle.

Not About Nail Polish
I saw this video today, and I thought it was excellent. I decided to post it here for people to have a peek at. Maybe not everyone who watches it will have depression, but I guarantee every single one of you will know at least, at LEAST, 1 person in your life who suffers from depression.
If this resonates with you, and you know nothing about mental health, please don't let it stop you from researching other mental health issues. I am one of those people who thinks that anything should go when it comes to humour, but I hate it when people say "omg this is such a bipolar outfit" etc. Really? Not that it so much offends me as comes across as incredibly ignorant, and it COULD hurt someone who is bipolar.
This video is an hour long, but you can start it playing and go about your day just listening to it.
I hope this is your gateway into learning more about mental health issues. They are real. I know it is easy to judge a person and just say, oh they are lazy etc. Please make yourselves aware of this incredibly awful epidemic that we as a world as we are facing.
"Depression is as real as real of a biological disorder as is juvenile diabetes, and you don't sit down a diabetic and say 'oh come on what's with this insulin stuff, stop babying yourself.'"
I also wanted to put this out there because I think it's pretty cool, it's $10 bucks, and the shipping is free.
"Net proceeds from the sale of the ring go to Partners for Mental Health, to help raise awareness, change attitudes and improve support for mental health through campaigns like Not Myself Today."
Here is one stupid tiny picture and a few that are more reasonably sized.
I don't know if The Bay ships outside of Canada. I apologize if you are interested and they do not.
You can purchase this ring here at The Bay where the picture is much larger and quite pretty I must say. I have ordered a couple, and I am excited for them to arrive! Aside from experiencing depression personally and amongst those I love, I love jewellery! I mean come on it's a nice ring for $10 bucks shipped. Plus, it's LIMITED EDITION! Eh? Eh? *nudges*

China Glaze - Groovy Green
This is 4 thin coats no topcoat. There is a bald patch at the tip of my ring finger :\ Way to notice it after the pictures are taken self. I suppose it speaks to the opacity though. The formula was a bit runny. This polish is an old white label China Glaze from 2004. You can get it on ebay these days for about $20 shipped. It is much cheaper on amazon, but I don't know that the sellers ship out of the U.S.
