Chanel - Peridot

Aloha! I was drawn into the Peridot vacuum yesterday. Truly this polish is stunning. Not sure if it is $30 dollars stunning.. But stunning!

This was my first time applying it. My pinky suffered a bulbous tip. Accent nail is W&W Black Creme (1 coat.. amazing! LOVE!) with this little decal that I got from a kiosk in the mall. You peel off the backing, stick it on and rub rub rub and then peel of the other backing because it is double sided sticky. Then topcoat.

I made a fatal error in not rubbing enough and I think that it needs SV on top because I peeled it off a few hours later. It's "3D" so even when fully rubbed down to hug the nail it has a bit of texture. Next time = 1 coat non quick dry topcoat and then 1 coat SV.

I also got these little gems!

This one I am wearing (dig the Engrish at the bottom! Just-stick them onto your fingers and toe.nails.)

These ones are not double sided. You just stick like a sticker and then apply topcoat.

These are actually really pretty. White with little silver gems!

This long strippy one that the guy totally recommended. I didn't want to hurt his feelings. I think it would look cute on a diagonal! (those two baby gates are designed to keep 7hund in the tiny strip of pavement I call my deck.. which is actually just the walkway along the side of the house to get into the back yard. I have pimped it out though! Lots of roses and herbs!)

OPI - Absolutely Alice

My cat killed 2 baby birds today and left them on my doorstep. Here is Absolutely Alice :(

3 coats. Frigging fabulous. Gorgeous in the right lighting. Like twinkly golden indoor lighting. If you find it, buy it. That is all.

OPI - Black Tie Optional

She looks black in the shade.

She comes out to play in the sun though. Please click on these for a better idea of the duochrome action of this polish. This is one of the rare duochromes that I have come across which shines best in the sun (afaik.. I haven't done a cloudy day run). The duochrome isn't in your face but it is very pretty.

It's like a black-purple-reddy magenta bronzish situation going on?

OPI - Smitten With Mittens

I got this as a fabulous swap extra <3 Judging by the bottle I thought it would be red with gold bits. I was wrong, but not unhappy!

Because I cannot leave well enough alone, here it is with OPI Man of La Mancha.

I am of the opinion that duochromes need ugly weather to be beautiful. Unlike most polishes, they do not do well in full sun. Sometimes you will find a bathroom or hospital auditorium with perfect lighting, and when that happens you should thank the nail polish goddesses and distract yourself with your beautiful nails while the tacky girl in the yoga pants eats her loud ass salad.

Tomorrow I am going to try again to work out in the a.m. Today was a complete fail. I normally work a half hour earlier on Mondays so I didn't have time. Then I got to work and realized I was supposed to be at orientation (2 months after I start apx?) at 8 a.m. ... so I was a half hour late. SO BORING. Girls who were talking and texting and then WTF eating a salad?? with the loudest crunching in the land echoing through the auditorium needed 60 punches and 30 uppercuts. *glare*

OPI - Rising Star & China Glaze - Cleopatra

First up is OPI Rising Star from the Burlesque collection. It's a pretty gold foil, but imo it isn't as nice as Orly Glitz & Glamour which I do not own why?? Grr..

Here it is with 2 coats of China Glaze Cleopatra (love!)

Cleopatra is an awesome glitter, mostly gold but with scattered holo glitter as well.

I love me some glitter :oD I think I am going to start doing my posts before bed now. So that I can have time to.. exercise.. before work :S Maybe ;o)
