Pretty Serious In The Night

So I had been having a really super mega crappy week (I have been saying that a lot lately..) and then a charming young man came to my door with a package that I was not expecting.  Inside, I found this:

I squeed.  I danced around.  I swatched.  Et voila.

All are 2 coats besides Claris which was 3.

I added a coat of China Glaze Snowglobe before I moved on to the next swatch.

Now I cannot get this out of my head:

Additional layer of China Glaze Techno which was not awesome :\

One coat of China Glaze Blue Hawaiian

Additional layer of China Glaze Glacier

One coat of Kleancolor Chunky Holo Poppy

China Glaze Shooting Stars.  It's like Fairy Dust and Snowglobe had a babby.

The formula on these was fabulous.  I did need to wait between coats of Claris as she liked to tug a bit, and Nightmaren was just a touch thick so it could maybe use a few drops of thinner and perhaps for me not to be so speedy with my application.  Nothing significant.  The formula on all others was a frigging breeze.  I was particularly impressed with Dream Delight.  I don't think I have another glitter that applies so smoothly and so opaquely in 2 coats.

I cannot express how awesome this collection is and how much it meant to me to receive it.  I love this game.  I still have it!  I couldn't find it to take pictures, but I do have it!  I need to bust out the Saturn one of these days.  I used to play this game waaaay back in the day with my first love.

I have a lot of good memories associated with this game.  One of my favourites.  Beautiful and fluid, just like the polishes!  Thank you secret gifter.  Thank you Kaz.  You brought me back up from way down low *heart*

Coupla Randoms

Okay so both of these were spur of the moment.  Neither were cleaned up so whatever.

Rainbow Honey - The Worst Possible Thing over China Glaze Aquadelic

BTW I used Nail Pattern Boldness Glitter Food over top of TWPT and yeah.. glassiest smoothest awesomeness ever.  Must have 80 bajillion more bottles.

It's like pink, teal, tiny holo, bigger holo, flakies and pink shimmer.. it really pops best over black but shiz.  This is a bottle of fabulous for srs over anything.

Up next is Picture Polish Mirage.  I have one complaint about the label.  I will leave it up to your cunning vision to establish what it is that I found irritating.  1 coat over the following:

Pointer - Revlon Top Speed Pink Lingerie.. I think?
Middle - Essie Buy me a Cameo
Ring - China Glaze Aquadelic
Pinky - Essie Blue Rhapsody

This polish is a bit too opaque for layering.  I thinned it just a tiny bit.  I like how it looks though!  I quite like it over pink.  It shifts from greeny tealish kinda to a pink.  A tiny bit brushstrokey when layered, I haven't tried it on its lonesome yet though.  I don't know that it was meant for layering.  I still love it.  I am intrigued to try it alone.  I imagine I would be pleased with the formula when not layering it. A few new Essence

I saw these at Shoppers the other day and just chucked 4 straight into my bag.  I love the new bottles!

Chic Reloaded.  1 coat over Essie Groovy Grape.  These are indoor shots.  Scrangie took much better lemmingworthy pics.  I feel like I need a backup.  So pretty.  Not so much in my pics as in real life.

Grey-t to be Here.  I think the name is stupid.  The could have omitted the -t and we would have gotten the idea.  Pretty grey leaning a touch purple with pink shimmer.  2 coats no top.

A Walk on the Wild Side 2 coats.

I think this is my favourite.  Date in the Moonlight 2 coats no topcoat.

I felt I had an untried that would look lovely over this, and I did!  1 coat Midnight Blue Glitter on top.

Nail Pattern Boldness vs. Clarins 230

This polish does not have a name.  I won this in a giveaway on the Nail Pattern Boldness blog

Pinky and middle = Clarins 230 2 coats
Ring and pointer = 1 coat NPB unnamed franken
Both are over GOSH Oh My Gosh Cobalt Blue (fabulous btw)

I wish I had more time to gush, but my ride is here.
Summary = closest dupe I have yet found to Clarins 230 aside from the Pied Polish Piper's Bliss Piss which I comped here.

I want to add that there are tiny little bits in the NPB that are visible in low light and shade.  You can see them in my shade picture.  Does not take away from the gorgeousness that is this polish in ze sunshine!  Also, doesn't really take away from the gorgeousness in the shade ;)

Cross fingers she adds this to her line!  It is not for sale right now :( Pin It
